Ride a Train from 1880!

This March, ride the steam train 26 miles each way on the 5-hour round trip train ride to the Cascade Canyon. This trip takes you through the San Juan National Forest and along the Animas River in the comfort of heated coaches. This wilderness destination is the perfect setting for a fire-side lunch, photo opportunities, or a walk along the Animas River.

For a shorter day and boarding closer to Durango Mountain Resort, start your trip at Rockwood, just 10 miles south of DMR! This boarding option makes the total roundtrip time just about four hours and you still experience the most memorable and scenic parts of the ride.

To book online, go to www.durangotrain.com and click the Book Now button. If you wish to board at Rockwood or would just like to speak with someone about the trip, please call 888-872-4607 or 970-247-2733.
